About us

Our laboratory aims to create novel measurement methods to recognize molecules and ions. Molecules and ions interact with each other differently depending on their various individual properties such as size, shape, and polarity.
By skillfully utilizing this diversity-rich nature of molecules, it is possible to selectively recognize only certain molecules and ions. Although it is difficult to directly observe molecular recognition phenomena, it is possible to visualize the spatio-temporal behavior of molecules by converting signals into measurable quantities such as light or electricity. This is a challenging field of study that can be applied to a wide range of fields, including energy and environmental fields.
